There is life after bodybuilding or any sport you are involved with professionally. You just have to prepare for it,understand that it won’t last forever and that age will catch up.Your hair will begin to turn gray and thin out, muscle density will soften and the coconut-like deltoids will begin to look like apples; that’s a fact.
I retired from bodybuilding competition in 1983 and in 1993 retired from my job with the Transit Authority as a bus operator. Later I moved to Florida and I been leaving here since then enjoying my retirement.
As I look back, I am proud of my accomplishments in the world of bodybuilding because I did it with my God give ability and genes. Now age 69 (2011) I continue to train but have a different outlook and application. The life style of bodybuilding
and activities are not part of my agenda, but happy to see how so many people remember me and continue to contact me and remind me of positive encounters.
I use my accomplishments as a tool to help others physically as well as spiritually. As always I do my best to make myself available to anyone in need. I stay very active with the church where I worship and where I learned to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
I enjoy my private personal training facility situated in 2.5 acre property which I call home along with my wife Maribel. Here I teach my clients the importance of taking care of their body through proper exercise techniques and proper eating habits. If they allow me the opportunity, I also teach the importance of taking care their spiritual life by building a personal relationship with God.
I now see myself not only as a bodybuilder, but also as a spiritual-builder.
Yep Life is Good!
