How to receive the salvation which Jesus offers us.
God knows our very thoughts so we can speak to him anywhere, anytime. If you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that he died for your sins and offers salvation to you, you may pray right now and ask him to forgive your sins and give you new life.
If you are  uncertain regarding what to say, here is a sample prayer which you may follow.

Dear Jesus,
I realize that I am a sinner and need to be saved. I believe that you are the Son of God and that you died for me as my substitute so that through you I might have forgiveness of sin. I believe that you rose again and at this moment are in Heaven waiting to make intercession for me with the Father. I wish to commit myself to you and receive the salvation which you purchased for me. Please forgive me for my sins and grant me eternal life.   -Thank you.

Contact a local church that teaches the Bible or trusted Christian friend and tell him or her about the wonderful decision you have made. The Bible teach us that you are born again spiritually and, as a newborn, you will need spiritual nourishment to grow, John 3:57 and 1 Peter 2:2. Your pastor or friend will be a great help to you

“The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy.   I have come so they can have life.
I want them to have it in the fullest possible way." John 10:10

It is God's desire that we have power over our problems.  I did not have this power due to the life I chose to live.  A life of sin and lies with no peace and full of desperation.   I thought I had it all under control and it was all about me.  Not realizing I was not only destroying my life but the lives of those around me.

My life was a mess and in need of help.  My sinful life caught up to me.  Because of my mother’s spiritual teaching I realized that the only one that could help me was God.  It wasn't until I learned to have a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ  that I was able to bring my life under control and find peace and tranquility.

God created us to His image.  He created us to have an abundant life and control over our problems. He gave us the ability to choose our path. We are not robots that automatically love and obey Him.  We either choose to live by His Laws and obey Him, or choose to disobey him and go on our own heathen willful way.  Sadly, thousands of people choose to disobey God everyday.  My mother taught me to love God and place my trust in Him. However, I chose not to.  I chose to separate from my mother’s loving God.  She guided me through my adolescent years, until I was able to choose my own path.  As the years passed, I began experimenting with things that my mother warned me about.  In the beginning, life was fun and exciting.  But later I found myself in very difficult situations.

I came close to losing my life on several occasions not fully understanding why I was spared; I brushed it off as coincidence.  Infidelity became a game to me, causing the loss of my family, not to mention their love, trust, and respect.   There were moments when I thought it would be easier to end my life.  It was not until I turned 45 that my ways of thinking began to change and I felt something happening to me.  I could not understand what it was, I felt in need of help.  I felt a sense of disparity and began to realize the mess I had made of my life.  Thank God for my mother’s prayers.  She taught me from birth that Jesus was the answer to everything.  She entrusted my life in his hands to watch over me. He had done that, even while I had distanced myself from Him.  Now I understand why my way of thinking began to change, why my life was spared and why I was protected from horrible situations.

God had a purpose for me and was preparing me for an encounter with Him to fulfill his purpose.  At that time the furthest thing from my mind was God, all I knew was that I had to get a grip of my life and had to do it quick.

As the wisdom of God often chooses things which men despise, so the folly of men commonly despises those whom God has chosen.  God does not promise to keep us from life's storms, but He will help us through them. God had taken control of my life as my mother asked him in her prayers.  He moved me to Florida where I began to attend a local church.   I often asked myself, why I was doing this; it was not what I wanted to do.  I allowed my feelings to move me and I continued to attend the church meetings.  During a calling on a Sunday morning service by faith I committed my life to Jesus and see what would happen.   It has been the best decision of my life.  Bible study is not merely to inform us -- it's meant to transform us.

I began to study the Bible, attend prayer meetings and worship services.  I approached each session with the same passion and dedication I did with my bodybuilding training.  These sessions transformed my life and gave me the feeling to know Jesus Christ personally.  Today Jesus is in charge of me and everything that surrounds me.  I have become a new person in Christ; it is what we call born again, cleansed and purified of my sinful ways.  If any man desires (thirst) to be truly and forever happy, let him apply to Christ, and be ruled by him.  Everyone is thirsting for God.  We all have a huge spiritual need that can only be filled by God.  We know we are thirsty, but we try to satisfy that thirst with physical things or emotional experiences.  All this things are temporary.   Once it wears off we go back to where we were.  But Jesus announced that He is the one who can satisfy the thirst in all of us.  And He will do it by overflowing our hearts with the Spirit.  He promised that out of every one of us will gush forth torrents of living water. (John 7:37,39).  If you have not experienced this overflowing  and if you trying to fill your need with other things, come to Jesus.   He is the only One who can satisfy the deepest longings of your heart.
